Airport/Traveling Essentials

I recently flew to Florida to live there for the remainder of the year, so I thought a quick blog post about my traveling essentials might be fun to share.

Definitely bring all your expensive electronics such as your Camera/SD Card, Phone, Laptop/Case and iPod/earplugs
Of course your wallet, ticket, and ID (like Passport, Drivers...)
And finally, a pleasure book, hair ties, hand sanitizer, lip balm, sunglasses/case & powder.

Safe travels!

Agenda-Inspired OotD

Cardigan: Forever XXI
Top: Saver's
Caprees: JC Penny
Flats: Puerto Rico
Watch: Target

Today, I wanted to try something new, and base an outfit around an item.  I chose my agenda cover which is gold, white and navy.  What's different about this look is that the gold top is very sparkly.  Because I wanted this outfit to be wearable for all casual events, I used my navy cardigan to help balance out the 'glam' gold.  I absolutely love this ensemble!

Casual Summer OotD

Summer is such a fun time to enjoy waterparks, the sun, cold treats, and hanging out with friends.  When it comes to summer outfits, I have two basic rules: 1) The outfits are simple and 2) There is NO layering whatsoever!!  Example below.

Review- Whitening Systems

Over the last few years, I have tried MANY whitening systems.  The ones I have used the most are: Crest 3D Whitestrips, Gel & Trays (from dentist), and Pro Light.
HOWEVER: My favorite will be the Crest 3D Whitestrips.  You buy it, tear off the plastic wrapper, set a timer for the time specified, put the strips on your teeth, and wait.  It's the easiest, fastest, and most comfortable for my teeth.  The Pro Light was fun, but was a hassle due to the fact that each whitening session lasts 2 minutes and you have to keep redoing it for 45 minutes.  The trays from the dentists were good, BUT the gel made my gums white, extra sensitive, and tasted the worst in my mouth.  SO.  Crest 3D Whitestrips has my stamp of approval, and I highly recommend whitening your teeth with their products.  White teeth improves any smile: straight or scraggly.  A person's smile should be their favorite feature.

Favorite Exercise Outfit & Essentials

When I decide to exercise during the spring/summer time, I like to wear this outfit (with a black V-neck underneath in case it gets a little warm).
 Pink Jacket: Target
Black Leggings: JC Penny
 Tennis Shoes: Target
 My essentials are:
1) WATER
2) iPod
3) Zinc
4) A light snack like a banana
5) A book that helps you understand the body, some different toning exercises to do, and gives you motivation to keep going!
Recently, I've been listening to these 7 songs which equals 25 minutes (of cardio).  If you've not heard some of these songs, I highly recommend you hear them on YouTube.

DIY Brooch Ring

This is probably the fastest Do-It-Yourself project on earth.  I kid you not, this took a total of 45 seconds to complete.  Here's how to make a ring.
You will need: E6000 glue (Michael's)
An old brooch -clip off the pin in the back (Grandma's)
A ring with a pad (Michael's)
The first & only step: Put a small dot of glue onto the back of the brooch, press ring pad on it.
I would wait 10 minutes just to be safe for the glue to dry before wearing it.
And voila!!  I thought this turned out great!  And this is perfect for those who aren't very crafty. (aka me)
Happy crafting!

Spring Date Outfit of the Day

I thought this would be a cute outfit for a spring date or an outing with friends.  The dress, scarf, and sneakers were slightly different shades of blue, so I thought this was a nice combination.  The scarf (polkadots with branches & birds) added some great texture to this look.
Dress: Sister Missionary Mall
Scarf: Epcot (UK-Walt Disney World)
Rings: Different/random giftshops
Bracelets: Forever XXI
Watch: Target
Sneakers: Rue 21

Review- Book: A Real Guide To Really Getting It Together by: Ashley Rickards

This is one of my favorite self-help books I've ever read.  The author, Ashley Rickards stars in the TV Show called Awkward (of which I've never seen).  This book is witty, helpful and fun to read!
It covers topics like skin problems, fashion inspiration, pursuing talents, business handling, time management, room designing and more!
Here's a few sneak peek pages: (Click to enlarge)
Overall, I give this book 4.8 out of 5 stars.  The reason it's not a perfect rating is because it had the occasional swear word (which wasn't necessary in this book whatsoever- except to show personality?)  However, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this read for those who like getting a charming review of facts, and for those who want to learn a few new things that'll be very beneficial in life.
