DIY Brooch Ring

This is probably the fastest Do-It-Yourself project on earth.  I kid you not, this took a total of 45 seconds to complete.  Here's how to make a ring.
You will need: E6000 glue (Michael's)
An old brooch -clip off the pin in the back (Grandma's)
A ring with a pad (Michael's)
The first & only step: Put a small dot of glue onto the back of the brooch, press ring pad on it.
I would wait 10 minutes just to be safe for the glue to dry before wearing it.
And voila!!  I thought this turned out great!  And this is perfect for those who aren't very crafty. (aka me)
Happy crafting!

Spring Date Outfit of the Day

I thought this would be a cute outfit for a spring date or an outing with friends.  The dress, scarf, and sneakers were slightly different shades of blue, so I thought this was a nice combination.  The scarf (polkadots with branches & birds) added some great texture to this look.
Dress: Sister Missionary Mall
Scarf: Epcot (UK-Walt Disney World)
Rings: Different/random giftshops
Bracelets: Forever XXI
Watch: Target
Sneakers: Rue 21

Review- Book: A Real Guide To Really Getting It Together by: Ashley Rickards

This is one of my favorite self-help books I've ever read.  The author, Ashley Rickards stars in the TV Show called Awkward (of which I've never seen).  This book is witty, helpful and fun to read!
It covers topics like skin problems, fashion inspiration, pursuing talents, business handling, time management, room designing and more!
Here's a few sneak peek pages: (Click to enlarge)
Overall, I give this book 4.8 out of 5 stars.  The reason it's not a perfect rating is because it had the occasional swear word (which wasn't necessary in this book whatsoever- except to show personality?)  However, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this read for those who like getting a charming review of facts, and for those who want to learn a few new things that'll be very beneficial in life.

DIY Health Inspiration Poster

I am definitely not as fit as I could be.  But for the past 6 months, I have just been over the average weight for my height.  I've been wanting to get into better shape and build more muscle for a while now.  There's always something to change that can help us live a more healthy lifestyle.
I made this poster in just under a couple of hours.  This is my inspirational health board.  I selected pictures that would help motivate and uplift me to keep aiming towards my goals.  *Yes, Jensen Ackles, the handsomest man alive IS motivational to me.  Girls- you understand right? heehee

My goal is to never be above 155 pounds.  I want to lose some weight and improve my strength.  The right side is the Cross-Off section.  As each pound is conquered, I can cross the numbers off.  The lower right corner are deadlines.  I have found that if you have one or a couple of deadlines, you will more likely reach your goal!  So, with the holidays of this year, I have my goal-weight-deadlines with small rewards.

Overall, I'm in love with this board.  I see it multiple times a day and it's a great reminder.  It reminds me to have smaller portions, more water and more motivation to reach my goals.  I can't wait to feel more confident and strong!  I'll keep you posted!

April Beauty Favorites

(left to right)
NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Blonde (weird huh?)
Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Love & Sunshine
Olay Fresh Swirled Mattifier
Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette
Lancome Rollerball Perfume in La vie est belle
Bath & Body Works Body Butter in A Thousand Wishes
Sephora Blue Eyelash Curler
Essie Nail Polish in Serial Shopper
CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara in Very Black
Maybelline Master Conceal in Fair
L'Oreal True Match Blush in Rosy Outlook

Now that semester has ended, my effort in getting ready for the day has lessened (aka less makeup, more time to sleep-in).  But, I have always favored natural-looking makeup with a floral-scented perfume.... or mist... or body butter!  In my opinion, the lighter the makeup, the better.

I highly recommend all of these products and hope you have a lovely Spring day!
